What is the difference between Soprano ICE Platinum and other available laser hair removal systems?
The Soprano ICE Platinum system has a cold contact cooling applicator that applies cold to the area as it is being treated, resulting in a very comfortable treatment experience for the patient. The treatment is virtually painless without any reduction in effect.
Because of the three wavelengths being combined in this applicator, treatment times are reduced, treatments are more effective, and you will require less total treatments before seeing the results that you want.
Is Hair Removal Really Pain Free?
Soprano ICE Platinum uses Alma Laser's new SHR method, which is a clinically proven method for removal of hair that is virtually painless. The unique methods by which the system works effectively damages targeted hair follicles without injury and pain to the tissue surrounding it. This was previously not possible in laser hair removal. While this is happening, ICE technology cools the skin surface to prevent small burns and pain associated with them.

What body parts can be treated?
Any part of the body can be treated with this system. There is a unique tip that we can use to target very small areas like the ears, nostrils, glabella (between the eyebrows), and private areas better than ever before.
Is this safe for all skin types?
Yes. Soprano ICE's method for laser hair removal has been proven to be the safest method for all skin types. The SHR system that is used applies laser energy in small bursts, allowing the skin to slowly heat up to the levels required to remove hair while minimizing any burning or irritation to the skin in the area.
Pre and post care instructions
- Avoid the sun 2 weeks before and after treatment.
- Avoid bleaching, plucking or waxing hair for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
- Do not use Depilatory creams 1 week prior to treatment.
- Discontinue the use of tanning cream two weeks before treatment.
- Shave the area you plan to have treated the day before or morning before the treatments.
Upon completion of your Soprano ICE System hair removal session, there *may* be some redness and swelling at the treatment area. It could feel like a mild sunburn. Applying iced water or aloe vera gel during the first few hours after treatment will reduce any discomfort.
You should avoid direct exposure to the sun for 2 weeks after your treatment and be sure to use sunscreen SPF 30+.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin and avoid using other hair removal treatment methods besides shaving (waxing, electrolysis, or tweezing) for 4-6 weeks after treatment as these could disturb the hair follicles at the treatment area.
While new hair growth will not occur for at least three weeks after treatment, you could see the shedding of the surface hair from 5-19 days after the treatment. This can be gently wiped away; however, you should avoid hot baths and heat treatments for the first 24 hours after your treatment.
